At Kay-Kwatics & Exotics, we are committed to providing All returns require valid proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or packing slip), as well as high-quality that require valid proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or packing slip) and products for your reptiles and aquatic pets. We understand that sometimes a return may be necessary. Please review our policy below:
General Returns:
- Most new, unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of the original purchase date for a full refund or store credit.
- A valid proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or packing slip) is required for all returns.
- Returns made after 14 days and up to 30 days may be eligible for store credit only, at the discretion of Kay-Kwatics & Exotics.
- All returns are subject to inspection and approval by a Kay-Kwatics & Exotics team member.
- We reserve the right to refuse any return if the product is not in resalable condition, is damaged due to misuse, or is missing original packaging and accessories.
Exclusions (Non-Returnable Items):
For the health and safety of our animals and due to the nature of these products, the following items are non-returnable unless they are defective upon arrival:
- Live Animals: This includes all reptiles, amphibians, fish, invertebrates, and plants. We take great care to ensure the health of our animals before they leave our store. Please inspect your new pet carefully before leaving.
- Frozen Foods: Due to temperature sensitivity, frozen food items cannot be returned.
- Opened or Used Substrates, Bedding, and Supplements: For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened or used substrates, bedding, vitamins, supplements, and medications.
- Custom or Special Orders: Items that were specially ordered or customized for you are non-returnable.
- Gift Cards: Gift cards cannot be returned or redeemed for cash.
Defective or Damaged Items:
- If you receive a defective or damaged item, please notify us within 48 hours of receiving the product.
- Please provide clear photos or videos of the damage or defect along with your proof of purchase.
- We will assess the issue and, if the item is deemed defective or damaged due to our handling, we will offer a replacement, exchange, or full refund, depending on product availability and your preference.
Return Process:
- Reptile Show Returns: Please bring the item to the Reptile Show in the original packaging (if possible), and proof of purchase.
- Online Order Returns: Please contact us via email below to initiate a return. We will provide you with instructions on how to return the item. Return shipping costs for non-defective items are the customer's responsibility.
Refunds:
- Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment.
- Please allow 7 business days for the refund to appear in your account after the return has been processed and approved.
